Humanity Protocol Launches Airdrop After $36M Token Exploit

Humanity Protocol suffered a $36 million exploit on June 8, 2026 after a phishing email compromised a director's machine and private keys, resulting in the theft of ~141.18 million H tokens; the project has sunsetted the old token, deployed a newly audited ERC-20 H token, will airdrop new tokens 1:1 to eligible pre-exploit holders while excluding attacker addresses, will handle liquidity pool holdings separately, and has created a compensation fund as the new token is prepared to serve as native gas for Humanity Mainnet relaunch.
