Multiple Linux Kernel Vulnerabilities Discovered Affecting Privileges and Security

Multiple critical Linux kernel vulnerabilities affecting Ubuntu and other kernels (including Copy Fail and Dirty Frag families) can enable local privilege escalation and container escape across cloud, enterprise, and IoT deployments; at least one CVE is reported as actively exploited and Ubuntu has released security updates (USN-8388–USN-8393) which should be applied and systems rebooted.
