China and India Target Pakistan's Law Enforcement in Cyber Espionage Campaign

During February 2024–April 2026, hackers linked to China and India conducted independent cyber espionage operations against multiple Pakistani law enforcement agencies—most notably the Balochistan Police—using malware disguised as software updates to exfiltrate sensitive data (including biometric records and internal communications) from systems such as the Complaint Management System; SentinelOne reported the intrusions, which reflect geopolitical distrust and competing intelligence collection in the region.
