Hackers Stalked Me by Hijacking a Smartwatch for Kids

Researchers found critical security flaws across major GPS platforms used in children’s smartwatches and vehicle trackers — including authentication bypasses, SQL injection allowing access to locations and passwords, and server-side code execution — affecting dozens of consumer brands and potentially millions of devices. The white-label backend model means many different branded products share the same vulnerable infrastructure, amplifying impact, and at least one platform showed signs of prior compromise, while vendors had not fully remediated all reported issues.
