France is accelerating a digital-sovereignty initiative to reduce reliance on US technology for government use: the administration is deploying a suite of home-grown and European/open-source tools (LaSuite: Visio, Tchap, Messagerie, Fichiers, Docs, Grist), moving code and data to locally approved providers, and replacing services like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and GitHub-hosted repositories with French or government-hosted alternatives to ensure data localization and control.
