Your Gym Locker May Be Hackable

Researchers presented a proof-of-concept at DEFCON showing that electronic locker models from Digilock and Schulte-Schlagbaum contain unsecured EEPROM-stored data (manager/programming key IDs and PINs). By disassembling locks and reading the EEPROM with inexpensive debugging tools, they were able to clone management keys to devices like a Flipper Zero, enabling an attacker to open other lockers in the same facility and potentially access large numbers of lockers across gyms, schools, and offices.
