Satellite Images Reveal How Suspected Scam Compounds Appear Out of Nowhere

More than two dozen suspected scam compounds have been built or significantly expanded in Myanmar’s Myawaddy region in the past six months, according to satellite imagery and analysis; these sites, linked to organized crime, house trafficking victims forced to run large-scale cryptocurrency and romance scams targeting global victims.
