Researchers disclosed “Unsaflok,” a technique that exploits weaknesses in Dormakaba’s Saflok encryption and the MIFARE Classic RFID system to open Saflok hotel door locks by reading a single keycard and presenting two crafted cards; the affected systems cover about 3 million doors across 13,000 properties in 131 countries, and vendor mitigations are underway but incompletely deployed.
