Tonic.ai product updates: January 2026

Tonic’s monthly update introduces Guided Redaction (beta) in Textual for human-in-the-loop sensitive data redaction, model-based custom entity types to build bespoke detectors, and a research white paper benchmarking Textual against major NER/DLP tools. Structural now auto-applies generators to handle schema changes and keep CI/CD unblocked, while Fabricate can export generated data in any text-based format via its Data Agent. Smaller enhancements include improved entity disambiguation, a new US_ROUTING_TRANSIT_NUMBER entity type, PostgreSQL destination schema control, Hashicorp Vault support, a new EU instance of Fabricate, multiple-choice follow-ups in the Data Agent, and database cloning.
