Innovations in Identity and Access Management

The article argues that innovations in Identity and Access Management—particularly comprehensive management of Non-Human Identities (machine identities) and their secrets—are central to modern access security. It highlights lifecycle management (discovery, classification, rotation, decommission), a shift from reactive to proactive defenses, and the use of data-driven insights to improve visibility, compliance, efficiency, and risk reduction, advocating a combined IAM and NHI approach to build resilient, cloud-first cybersecurity architectures.
