Eight major U.S. communications firms (AT&T, Charter, Comcast, Cox, Lumen, T-Mobile, Verizon and Zayo) have launched the Communications Cybersecurity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (C2 ISAC) to enable trusted sharing of threat intelligence and coordinated defensive actions across the telecom sector; the group will be led by a board of CISOs with Valerie Moon as executive director and is intended to augment existing public-private coordination amid rising threats such as the Salt Typhoon campaign.
