NetApp Leverages AI to Make File System Ransomware Resistant

NetApp announced embedded AI capabilities in its ONTAP file system for real-time ransomware threat detection, previewed a BlueXP Ransomware Protection control plane to streamline incident response, enhanced snapshot management with tighter SnapLock and SnapMirror integration, and made BlueXP Disaster Recovery for VMware generally available, while extending its ransomware recovery guarantee to Keystone. The company positions these updates as a way to improve cybersecurity resiliency across on-premises and cloud environments and reduce reliance on disparate tooling.
