CrowdStrike announced a definitive agreement to acquire Seraphic Security, a browser security startup reportedly valued around $400M, continuing its rapid expansion alongside recent purchases of SGNL, Onum, and Pangea. Seraphic’s technology—an abstraction layer that isolates browser engines, mitigates memory corruption, and enforces data loss controls—will be integrated into the Falcon platform and SGNL’s continuous authorization to correlate endpoint and browser activity, enabling dynamic access controls and protections against phishing, session hijacking, unauthorized GenAI use, and shadow AI risks.
