Can Agentic AI be trusted with sensitive data?

This article argues that Non-Human Identities (NHIs) — machine identities authenticated by secrets such as tokens and keys — are essential for protecting sensitive data in cloud environments, particularly when adopting Agentic AI. It highlights the shortcomings of point solutions like secret scanners and promotes a holistic NHI management approach that provides lifecycle management, behavioral monitoring, improved compliance, automation, scalability, and cost savings, while advising security teams to adopt continuous monitoring, policy enforcement, and integration best practices.
