Fake Trading Apps for Android, iOS Lead to Pig Butchering Scam

Fake mobile trading apps named collectively as UniShadowTrade were distributed via the Apple App Store, Google Play and later phishing sites; they delivered a web-based trading interface (built with UniApp) that impersonated legitimate platforms to enact a pig-butchering fraud. Victims are social-engineered to submit identity documents, fund accounts, and after apparent gains are prevented from withdrawing funds; the apps deliberately contain no mobile trojan to evade detection and were downloaded thousands of times, highlighting a widescale financially motivated scam targeting iOS and Android users.
