Trade Groups Urge Faster Federal Action to Address AI-Driven Cyber Risks

A coalition of tech and business trade associations published a joint open letter urging the U.S. government to implement a dozen concrete measures to mitigate AI-accelerated cyber risks, including strengthening public–private coordination, modernizing federal cybersecurity and workforce readiness, reauthorizing information-sharing frameworks, and investing in the CVE ecosystem; the groups warn frontier AI models can rapidly find and create exploits, outpacing current patching and response processes.
