Inside a Sophisticated, Automated Sweepstakes Attack — and How Cequence Stopped It

Cequence observed and stopped a sophisticated, persistent automated sweepstakes abuse campaign that blended into legitimate promotional traffic by using ~538,081 residential/mobile IPs across 6,507 ISPs and 409 repeated device fingerprints to submit over 6.7 million automated entries (peaking at ~1.59M blocked entries in one hour); layered fingerprinting, identity/session-velocity controls, adaptive ML, and live SOC tuning successfully mitigated the attack without impacting legitimate entrants.
