AIMS: A Model for AI Agent Identity

This article reviews an IETF Internet-Draft on "AI Agent Authentication and Authorization" and the proposed AIMS reference model, arguing that autonomous agents should be treated as workloads with first-class identities, short-lived scoped credentials, and delegation capabilities built on existing standards, while noting unresolved issues around dynamic authorization, multi-agent delegation, and operational complexity.
