Salt Security Embraces MCP to Improve Cybersecurity in the Age of AI

Salt Security showcased an early capability to secure Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and to share collected security intelligence with other AI-infused platforms, arguing MCP servers act as intelligent gateways that translate natural language into authorized queries while enforcing policies. The report warns that if MCP servers are compromised, AI agents could have workflows hijacked, and urges greater focus on API security, contextual discovery of misconfigurations, and cross-platform intelligence sharing as MCP deployment increases.
